It aims to awaken human beings to the reality of the Hereafter and the weighing of deeds. --- 📖 Translation & Explanation (Summary): 1. الْقَارِعَةُ – “The Striking Calamity!” Allah begins with a single, powerful word — Al-Qāri‘ah — referring to the great calamity that will strike the hearts and the universe on the Day of Judgment. 2. مَا الْقَارِعَةُ – “What is the Striking Calamity?” 3. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ – “And what can make you know what the Striking Calamity is?” These two verses emphasize the severity and unimaginable nature of that Day. It’s beyond human comprehension. --- 4. يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ – “It is the Day when people will be like scattered moths.” On that day, people will be disoriented, running in confusion and panic — like moths flying around aimlessly in chaos. 5. وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوشِ – “And the mountains will be like fluffed wool.” Mountains, symbols of strength and stability, will crumble and scatter like soft wool blown by the wind — showing how completely the natural order will collapse. --- 6. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ – “Then as for the one whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy,” 7. فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ – “He will be in a pleasant life.” Those whose good deeds outweigh their bad ones will live a happy and content life in Paradise. --- 8. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ – “But as for the one whose scales are light,” 9. فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ – “His abode will be an abyss.” 10. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ – “And what can make you know what that is?” 11. نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ – “It is a blazing Fire.” Those whose good deeds are few will fall into Hāwiyah, one of the names of Hell — a deep, blazing pit of fire. --- 💡 Main Lessons: 1.
