Official playbook for browsing, watching, shorts, channels, community, and viewer support.

AITube · Support Playbook

AITube Watch & its features

The core viewer platform at aivideostube.com — browsing, watching, shorts, search, accounts, channels, community, libraries and help. Everything a support agent needs, in plain language.

aivideostube.comBrowsing = no accountActions = sign-inUpdated 13 Jul 2026
How to read this guide
Text like this = exact on-screen wording. Browsing/watching needs no account; liking, saving, commenting, following, reporting and uploading require sign-in (a small pop-up prompts them and returns them to the same spot).

Home feed

From top to bottom: a rotating banner, a row of category/mood tabs, then an endless grid of videos. Signed-in or out, anyone can browse and open videos.

The top banner

A carousel that auto-advances every 5 seconds (arrows on desktop, swipe on mobile, dots + a "1 / N" counter). With no paid banner ads it shows AITube's house promo — Try AITube Premium with a Try Now button to pricing. Paid banner ads rotate in the same spot.

Category / mood tabs

A scrollable/draggable row of pills; default is All. Clicking one reloads the feed for that category. The full list: All, Recent, Entertainment, Education, Memes, Teen Trends, AI Music, AI Influencers, AI Trailers, AI Ads, Storylines, Short Films, AI Movies, AI Animes, Animation, AI Podcast, Gaming, Technology & Innovation, News & Current Events, Sports & Fitness, Lifestyle, Relaxation & Calm, Motivational & Inspirational, Energetic & Fun, Romantic & Heartwarming, Humorous & Light-Hearted, Thought-Provoking, Cooking & Food, DIY & Crafts, Travel & Adventure, Wellness & Self-Care, Kids & Family, Professional Development, Action & Thrill, Drama, Fantasy & Sci-Fi, Horror & Mystery, Pets & Animals, Art & Design, Health & Science, Music & Performance, Culture & History, User Favorites, Discover Something New, Others.

Layout, cards & hover

  • Masonry grid — 1 column on phones, 2 medium, 3 large. Mixes wide video cards and tall "short" cards; positions stay put as more load.
  • Each card: thumbnail (length top-right), creator avatar + username (verified check if applicable), title, view count & time, "Generated with [model]" and category pills (clickable → search), plus a Featured label if boosted.
  • Hover (desktop) plays a silent preview with mute/unmute, a remaining-time counter, and a clickable progress bar.
  • ⋮ menu: everyone gets Save to Library, Share, and (on others' videos) Report; the owner also gets Download, Delete, Edit, Publish/Unpublish and a Boost button. Processing videos grey out Download/Share (Video processing...).
  • A single Sponsored video card (teal-tinted) can appear near the top, with an arrow that opens the advertiser's link.
Loading & empty
Loads 12 at a time with skeleton placeholders; more load as you scroll. No videos → No videos Available (plus Sign in to upload videos / Sign In if logged out). Signed-in users with an incomplete profile see a setup modal, then a slim Profile Setup Incomplete bar with Continue Setup.

Watch page (single video)

Two columns: the video + details on the left, recommended videos on the right (stacked on phones).

Player controls

Play/pause, seek bar, volume/mute, playback speed (0.5× / 1× / 1.5× / 2×), a quality selector (for streaming videos), captions (only if the video actually has caption tracks — most user videos don't), and fullscreen. A poster image shows before playback.

Two things viewers ask about most
No autoplay of the next video — the watch page does not auto-advance; pick the next one from recommendations. No captions button appears unless the video includes caption tracks. There are no chapters.

Actions

  • Like / Dislike (thumbs) with counts; liking removes a prior dislike and vice-versa. Signed out → Like this video? / Sign in to make your opinion count.
  • Who liked it — clicking the Likes count opens a list, but it's Pro-only: non-Pro users see Upgrade to AITube Pro instead; Pro users see Who liked it? with the liker list.
  • Subscribe/Follow the creator (button becomes Following). Signed out → Want to follow? / Sign in to follow this user.
  • ShareShare this content dialog with a Copy Link button and platforms (WhatsApp, Message, Facebook, X, Email, KakaoTalk, Reddit, VK, OK, Pinterest, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Mix).
  • Save to your single Library (no named playlists) → button reads Saved.
  • Download: not on the watch page. Only a video's owner can download, from the card ⋮ menu elsewhere. Viewers can't download others' videos.

Comments

Header Comments (count includes replies). Box Add a comment... supports @-mentions; Enter posts, Shift+Enter = newline. Per comment: Like, Reply (threaded), and a ⋮ menu — Delete (your own), Follow/Unfollow (others), and, if you own the video, Pin/Unpin (max 3 per video Pin Limit Reached). No editing, no sort control, no per-comment report on the standard watch page.

Report a video

Report video dialog (sign-in required), two steps: (1) pick a reason — Not AI-generated Content, Sexual content, Violent or repulsive content, Violent or abusive content, Harassment or bullying, Harmful or dangerous acts, Misinformation, Child abuse, Promotes terrorism, Spam or misleading, Legal issues, Caption or description issue, Other; (2) a Timestamp Selected* (or tick This issue occurs throughout the entire video) + Description → Report. Success: Report Submitted.

Ads, view counts & recommendations
Regular videos may include sponsored ads before / during / near the end (skippable ones show Skip in XsSkip; the video resumes after). A view is counted when playback starts, but re-watching the same video within the last hour only counts again if watched to the end. The right sidebar lists recommended videos (auto-loads more; a sponsored card may sit on top) — not auto-played. Missing video → Video Not Found.
Sponsored video pages
If a viewer opens an ad as a video page, only Like works — Dislike, Share, Save and Report are disabled with a "… not available for sponsored content" tooltip.

Shorts

Two screens: the grid (/shorts, desktop landing) and the immersive vertical player (/short). On phones the grid is skipped — Shorts opens straight into the full-screen player.

  • Grid (AI Shorts): filter tabs All / Newest / Oldest / Most Liked; hover plays a muted preview; a Sponsored short can appear first.
  • Player: scroll/swipe or use up/down arrows to move; the current short autoplays and auto-advances to the next when it finishes (unless a panel is open) — it does not loop. It's an endless feed.
  • Sound: starts muted (browser rule); mute/unmute state carries across shorts. Mobile shows a Tap to Unmute chip.
  • Actions (right side): Like (tap the count for Liked by), Comments, Share, and a ⋮ menu with Description, Save to Library, Report. Follow the creator from the caption.
  • Comments: read by anyone; posting needs sign-in. Max 500 chars, with likes, replies, delete-your-own, follow. No pin, no per-comment report, no editing.
Sponsored shorts & ad player
Sponsored shorts show a Sponsored pill + a Learn More CTA and offer only Like and Comment (no Share/Save/menu). A separate skippable ad player can appear (default ~every 5th short, skippable after 5s) with an Ad • Ns badge and Skip Ad.

Not present in Shorts: no download button, no dislike button.

Search · Filter · Trending

Search

A Search... box in the top bar (a search icon on mobile opens a full-screen overlay). Press Enter to search the whole site. Signed-in users get a recent-searches dropdown (each removable). The results page has tabs: All, Creators, Shorts, Watched, Unwatched, Recently Uploaded, Prompt Battle, Model. Clicking a model name on any video runs a "videos generated using model" search. No results → No Videos Found for "…".

Filter (Filter by Mood)

Filter By Mood — the only control is a category/mood pill selector (the same ~45 categories as the home tabs). No duration/sort/date/model dropdowns here. Infinite scroll; cards behave like feed cards (hover preview, Save/Share/Report). Empty → No videos in "[category]" yet.

Trending

Trending Now — ranked most-popular videos (Updated every hour, Live Updates badge). Filters: content type All Content / Videos / Shorts, and period All Time / Today / This Week / This Month. Top 3 get gold/silver/bronze ranks; cards have a "trending score" bar, Like & Comment buttons, and a Load More Trending button. End: You've reached the edge of the internet.

Server-decided
What counts as "watched/unwatched/recently uploaded," what belongs in each mood, and how "trending" and its time windows are computed are all decided on AITube's servers — not visible in the interface.

Discover, ads & the Generate page

Discover (viewer side)

Discover Businesses in the menu → the Promotional Products and Services feed of promoted videos (12 at a time, infinite scroll, no filters/search). Cards behave like normal video cards and open AITube watch pages — no external "buy now" links. Empty → No videos Available. (Note: individual cards here aren't stamped "Sponsored"; only the page heading signals it's promoted content.)

Sponsored thread ads

A Sponsored ad card inside the Community feed with the advertiser's headline, a CTA (Learn More by default) opening an external link in a new tab, likes/comments/views, and a Read more toggle. The /sponsored-thread/… link is just a social-preview redirect that bounces real visitors to the Community page.

The consumer "Generate" page

The video-generation tool at /generate is sign-in required (signed-out users see Welcome to AITube! / Sign in with Google). Signed-in it's the same generator as AI Studio: pick quality & model, write a prompt, choose style/aspect/duration, see Required Credits, and Generate Video. Free-plan users with 0 credits on a premium model are blocked (Buy credits or upgrade your plan to use premium models). See the AI Creator Studio KB for full generator detail.

Sign up & sign in

Creating an account

The full Sign Up page (Create your AITube account) asks for Username (4–20 chars, no spaces, live availability check with suggestions), Email, Phone Number (country selector), and Password (min 8). Button: Create your account. There's also Signup with Google (the only social login).

Referral pop-up gotcha
The quick pop-up sign-up (shown when arriving via a referral link) only asks for Username, Email and Password — it omits the required phone number, so its Create Account button can silently fail. Fix: use the full Sign Up page instead.

Email verification (OTP)

After a normal sign-up: OTP Verification — a 6-digit code is emailed (please check your inbox or Spam folder). Enter it → Verify. A 30-second resend timer then shows Didn't receive the OTP? Resend OTP. Google sign-ups skip this. Whether the email actually arrives is handled by the mail system.

Signing in, forgot password & recovery

  • Sign in with email or username + password, or Continue with Google. Unverified accounts are sent back to the code step on login.
  • Forgot password: enter email → 6-digit code → Change Password (new + confirm, min 8). Google users who never set a password can Set Password from their channel's About tab.
  • Account recovery: logging into a deleted/suspended account opens Account Deleted Yes, Recover My Account sends a recovery email; the link → Confirm Recovery (enter password) → Account successfully recovered! Please log in.

Deleting an account

Channel → About → red Danger Zone Delete your account → confirm what's deleted → provide a written reason (required) → Yes, Delete My Account. The public info page says the team reviews requests within 30 days (temporary suspension first), while the in-app pop-up frames it as permanent — actual timing is an admin decision. Help: support@aitube.app.

Profile & channel

Every user has a channel with a cover banner (Edit Banner), profile picture (crop before saving), name/@username, a verified badge if applicable, and stat pills (Followers, Videos, streak). Owner tabs: Home, Shorts, Drafts, My Plan, Promotions, Monetization, Posts, Comments, Blocked Channels, Referrals, About. Visitor tabs: Home, Shorts, Posts, About + a Follow button and a "…" menu with Block Channel.

Editing your profile & settings

Edit Profile opens Edit Information: Name, Username (live check), Phone, About, Languages (multi-select), Country, Gender, X/Instagram/TikTok links, Date of birth → Submit Now. Most personal settings live in the channel's About tab (there's no separate consumer "Settings" page): a Show Email Publicly toggle, Change Password, channel stats, and the Danger Zone.

Following / subscribing: the button toggles FollowFollowing (same thing). A dedicated Creators You Follow page shows their latest uploads, suggestions, and featured creators. Referrals tab + Copy Referral Link link accounts that sign up through you. Theme: a sun/moon toggle in the top bar (Light/Dark) — no separate appearance page.

Verification & blocking

Getting the Verified badge

Become Verified is a 3-step flow (Requirements → Upload ID → Review). Requirements include a real name/brand, a complete profile, 10+ AI videos, consistent activity (2+ uploads/month over 60 days), and not too many reported videos. Upload front & back of a government ID (PNG/JPG ≤10 MB). Submit → Documents submitted. Review usually takes up to 48 hours. The button then shows Pending Review. (Instant Verification is a Pro-plan perk.)

Blocking users

On someone's channel, "…" → Block Channel. Blocked users can't comment or interact and aren't told. Manage them in the Blocked Channels tab (View Channel / Unblock). Unblocking asks to confirm.

Community threads

The Community area is a social feed of "threads" (posts). Tabs: Threads, My Threads, Pinned Threads, Trending, Recommended, Who to Follow.

Posting a thread

Composer: What's on your mind, [name]? with Write Thread, Add Media, AI Thread (AI-generated, costs credits), Resume Draft. The form needs a Title and a Description (rich text, up to 2,000 chars); media is images (JPG/PNG/GIF) or videos (MP4/WebM), max 5 MB each. A Preview tab and auto-save draft every minute. Post → Post Thread.

Interacting

Per thread: Like, Comment (with replies + likes; delete your own), Repost, Save/Bookmark, Share. Your own thread's "…" menu → Edit thread / Delete thread. Others' → Pin thread / Report thread (reason list + description, two steps).

Library, liked videos & watch history

📚 Library

Your saved content, with All / Videos / Shorts filters and a date jump. Empty → Your Library is Empty Explore Videos.

❤️ Liked Videos

Everything you've liked, with a total count. Empty → No Liked Videos.

🕘 Watch History

Grouped by date, searchable. Pause History and Clear All are Pro-only — non-Pro users get an Upgrade to Pro prompt.

No custom playlists
There are no user-created named playlists — the "library" concept is Saved / Liked / History (plus your own channel's videos, shorts and drafts).

Achievements & notifications

Achievements & Badges: a stats row (Badges Earned, In Progress, Completion Rate, Locked) and three groups (Earned / In Progress / Locked). Badges are earned automatically from real activity; some are rolling-window (can expire, re-checked nightly), others permanent. Earned badges show on your public channel.

Notifications: a bell icon with an unread count (99+ if high) → a panel with Mark all as read. Clicking a notification jumps to the relevant place. Empty → No new notifications / You're all caught up! Live toasts arrive for likes, comments, follows, and finished processing.

No notification settings
There is currently no screen to choose which notifications you receive — users can only view them and mark them read.

Pricing & AITube Premium

Choose Your Perfect Plan with a Monthly / Annual (Save 20%) toggle. Three types: a Basic subscription, a Pro subscription (Most Popular), and Pay-Per-Use credit packs. Buttons adapt: Buy Credits / Subscribe / Subscribed / Upgrade / Downgrade / Scheduled. Subscription credits reset each cycle (don't roll over); Pay-Per-Use credits never expire; no refunds for unused credits. Apple subscribers must change plans via the App Store. A separate video-model pricing page lists per-model credit-per-second costs (Fast/High-Quality toggle).

AITube Premium
Premium is a paid viewer membership referenced on the monetization pages — creators earn extra when Premium members watch their content. Some "Pro" features (see who liked a video, pause/clear watch history) are the paid perks viewers ask about.

Monetization (for creators)

The consumer Monetization page explains Ways to Earn — Watch Page Ads, Shorts Feed Ads, Community Page Ads, Banner Ads — and shows a personal eligibility checklist with live progress bars (verify account, followers, 60-day views, minimum public videos). When eligible → Apply for Monetization (a 4-step form: Personal Info → Tax Info → Payout Method via Stripe → Review). Once approved, an Earnings dashboard + Earnings & Payouts (connect Stripe, $50 minimum withdrawal, 3–5 business days). Full detail is in the AI Creator Studio KB.

Eligibility numbers differ across pages
The monetization policy page states 150 followers / 300 views (60 days) / 2 public videos and revenue shares (Video Ads 55%, Shorts 45%, Thread Ads up to 30%). Other copy elsewhere cites larger numbers. The live progress figures on the dashboard are authoritative; the discrepancy is worth flagging internally. Boosted/self-promoted videos earn no revenue share.

Feedback, surveys & help pages

Feedback: We Value Your Feedback — pick a category (Feature Request / Report a Bug / Positive Feedback / Improvement Idea), give a 1–5 star rating, write a description (≤2,500 chars), Submit Feedback. No attachments, no rewards. Surveys: take active surveys once (written / multiple-choice / star-rating questions); no rewards.

Support FAQ

Search or browse. Click a question to expand.

Do I need an account to watch videos?
No. Anyone can browse, scroll, hover-preview and watch. An account is only needed to save, like, comment, follow, report or upload.
Why won't the next video play automatically?
The watch page doesn't auto-advance. Pick your next video from the recommendations list on the right. (Shorts do auto-advance to the next short.)
Where's the download button?
Downloading is only available to a video's own creator, from the video's card menu — not to viewers, and not on the watch page.
Why can't I turn on captions/subtitles?
The captions button only appears if the video includes caption tracks; most user videos don't have them.
How do I change quality or speed?
Use the player's quality menu (for streaming videos) and the speed menu (0.5× / 1× / 1.5× / 2×) in the bottom control bar.
Who can see who liked a video?
Clicking the Likes count is Pro-only. Non-Pro users see Upgrade to AITube Pro; Pro users see the likers list.
Can I edit or delete my comment?
You can delete your own comment via its ⋮ menu, but you can't edit it once posted.
Why didn't my OTP verification email arrive?
Check your Spam folder, or click Resend OTP after 30 seconds. (Google sign-ups don't need OTP.)
Why does quick referral sign-up fail?
The referral pop-up omits the required phone number. Use the full Sign Up page (/signup) instead.
How do I set my password if I signed up with Google?
Go to your channel → About tab → click Set Password.
How long does account deletion take?
The public info page notes up to 30 days (temporary suspension first); actual timing is an admin decision. Email support@aitube.app for help.
How do I get the Verified checkmark?
Complete your profile, post 10+ AI videos, stay active for 60 days, then submit government ID in Become Verified. (Instant Verification comes with Pro.)
What happens when I block someone?
They can't comment on or interact with your content and aren't notified. Unblock them anytime from your channel's Blocked Channels tab.
Can I clear or pause my watch history?
Pause History and Clear All are Pro-only. Non-Pro users get an Upgrade to Pro prompt.
Can I create custom named playlists?
No — AITube uses a single Library for saved videos, plus Liked and History.
Why did my badge disappear?
Some badges depend on rolling activity (e.g. recent uploads) and are re-checked nightly, so they can lock again if activity drops.
Can I turn off specific notifications?
Not currently — you can view notifications and mark them read, but there are no granular toggle switches yet.
Do unused plan credits roll over?
Subscription credits reset each billing cycle. Pay-Per-Use credits never expire. Unused credits aren't refunded.
Why doesn't my sponsored video earn revenue share?
Boosted and self-promoted videos are excluded from creator revenue-share pools.
How do I withdraw earnings, and when do I get paid?
Connect Stripe on the Monetization page. Withdrawals require a $50 minimum, carry $0 fee, and take 3–5 business days.

Known quirks

  • No autoplay of next video on the watch page (only Shorts auto-advance).
  • No captions button unless caption tracks were uploaded with the video.
  • No download button for viewers — owner-only, from card menus elsewhere.
  • Who liked a video is Pro-only; non-Pro users see an upgrade prompt.
  • Quick referral sign-up pop-up omits phone numbers and can fail; use full Sign Up.
  • Monetization eligibility numbers differ slightly on policy vs live dashboard (dashboard is authoritative).
