Surah Muhammad (47:24) > Arabic: أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا > Translation: Do they not then reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon their hearts? Description: In this verse, Allah is urging people to deeply reflect and think about the meanings of the Qur’an. The verse criticizes those who hear the words of Allah but do not ponder or act upon them. Their hearts are described as being “locked” — meaning they are closed to understanding and accepting the truth. This is a powerful reminder that true faith requires not just hearing, but also understanding and reflection. When a person’s heart is filled with arrogance, sin, or heedlessness, it becomes sealed — preventing the light of guidance from entering. --- Surah Muhammad (47:25) > Arabic: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ > Translation: Indeed, those who turned back after guidance had become clear to them—Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them. Description: This verse talks about the people who first accepted the truth of Islam but later turned away after clear guidance had reached them. Their turning away wasn’t due to confusion, but because of the temptations and false promises of Satan. He deceived them by making sin seem attractive and gave them false hopes of worldly success or forgiveness without repentance. It shows how dangerous it is to abandon faith after recognizing the truth — for such people become easy prey for Satan’s influence. --- Overall Message (Verses 24–25 Combined): Allah warns believers to keep their hearts open by continuously reflecting on the Qur’an, so they do not become like those who ignore divine guidance and later fall into disbelief. The verses highlight the importance of sincere reflection, humility, and steadfastness in faith.
