Wanda Maximoff, better known as the Scarlet Witch, is one of the most powerful and complex figures in the Marvel Universe. Originally appearing as a "mutant" villain in The X-Men #4 (1964), she has evolved into a reality-warping sorceress and a cornerstone member of the Avengers.
