Iqbal aur Quran - Dr Israr Ahmad
Dr. Israr Ahmad discusses Allama Iqbal's profound connection with the Quran, asserting it as the source of his philosophy and intellectual inspiration. He highlights Iqbal’s unique position as a 20th-century thinker educated in both Eastern and Western institutions, yet firmly rooted in the Quranic worldview. Dr. Ahmad explains how Iqbal, despite his extensive education in Western philosophy at universities in England and Germany, ultimately found the ultimate truth and intellectual satisfaction in the Quran. He emphasizes that Iqbal’s philosophy wasn’t derived from Nietzsche or other Western thinkers, but directly from the Quranic verses, particularly from Surah Al-Hashr, which profoundly shaped his understanding of selfhood and purpose. Dr. Ahmad underscores the Quran’s continued relevance as a miracle and source of guidance in the modern era, exemplified by Iqbal’s life and work.
