AI micro-dramas went from a curiosity to an industry in 2026. TechNode reported that more than 74% of the 367,000 micro-dramas released in China in the first half of the year were AI-generated, and MIT Technology Review cited Omdia's estimate that the global micro-drama market will reach $14 billion by the end of 2026. Outside China, knowing where to watch AI dramas is harder: some apps are built for them, some mix them in without a label, and some "AI drama" sites are really generators. This guide sorts them out, with prices checked on 30 October 2026.
Key takeaways

AITube: free AI dramas from independent creators (our platform)
AITube is a video and music platform built only for AI-made work, so every drama on it is made with AI. The AI drama section collects micro-dramas, emotional short stories and serialized drama from creators around the world, and AI story series holds the episodic ones. Most run from one to ten minutes. Watching is free and needs no account.
The catalog is uploaded by creators rather than produced by a studio, so quality ranges from first experiments to polished series. Each video shows which AI tool made it, and you can follow a creator to get their next episode. If you make AI dramas yourself, you can post them free, and approved creators earn 55% of the ad revenue from their videos' watch pages.
VibeShort: the biggest app built for AI short dramas
VibeShort calls itself an app for AI short dramas, and its App Store listing describes the content as AI-generated. Episodes are vertical and one to two minutes long, there are offline downloads, and it's available in English and 18 other languages. On Google Play it has 10M+ downloads. Huxiu reported in June 2026 that the catalog is mainly AI with a small amount of dubbed and live-action content.
The catch is the price: the Weekly Pass Pro is $19.99 a week and auto-renews, and the Annual Pass Pro is $149.99 a year. The app is rated 18+ on iOS. It's made by AGILE QUADRANT MEDIA LIMITED in Hong Kong and has no creator program.
HeyRuby.tv: labeled AI series on Apple devices
HeyRuby.tv mixes human-made and AI series, and says any series made with AI is clearly labeled, which makes it easy to choose. Episodes are vertical and usually one to two minutes. The first three episodes of a series play without an account, a free account unlocks five episodes and 200 Tickets, and the monthly plan is $9.99 for 1,000 Tickets. There are no ads.
It runs in the browser and on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro and Apple Watch, but not Android. Creators can submit a show on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis, and tips go 100% to the creator.
Generated Worlds: AI series at $0.10 an episode
Generated Worlds calls itself the home for original AI series, films and shows, and was founded in 2026. Each creator chooses how many episodes are free; after that an episode costs 10 tokens ($0.10), once, and token packs start at $4.99 for 50. There is no subscription. Viewers must be 16 or older.
It is one of the better deals for creators: no follower or watch-hour threshold, 80% of net revenue, and Stripe payouts once the balance passes $25.
AICINEO: free AI films and vertical series
AICINEO streams AI films from about three minutes to over 90, with a vertical-series row, and watching is free. Titles carry an "AI original" tag and all AI content is disclosed. It also sells credits for its own video generator. Creators can earn 80% of ad and rental revenue after reaching 1,000 followers, 24,000 qualified minutes and five approved uploads. We found no app in the App Store or Google Play.
Hollywood.AI: a free index that plays from YouTube
Hollywood.AI doesn't host videos; it curates AI films, music videos and series and plays them from the creator's own channel. Its short-drama section lists 33 series and 237 episodes, every one three minutes or less, from creators such as Gossip Goblin and GONKA2049. It's free, and creators can submit their work free while keeping it on their own channel, so there's no revenue share.
HamTiv: Hindi and English micro-dramas on Android
HamTiv is based in Delhi and mixes live-action and AI-generated micro-dramas in one-to-three-minute episodes, with audio in Hindi, English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish. It is free with ads and in-app purchases, and Android only.
Do ReelShort and FlexTV have AI dramas?
The large short-drama apps are mostly live action, but AI is spreading through them. ReelShort says it is not an AI-generated platform but carries AI-animated content with an "AI generated" watermark on the poster. MIT Technology Review reported that FlexTV halted traditionally shot productions early in 2026 and moved entirely to AI-generated dramas, and that DramaWave and FreeReels offer more than 1,000 AI titles. Neither FlexTV's app nor its site labels which titles are AI.
All of them use coins and weekly passes: ReelShort's subscription is billed weekly, and FlexTV's Weekly VIP is $29.99. They are where the biggest budgets are, but not where to go if you want to know what you're watching was made with AI.
YouTube, TikTok and Character.AI
YouTube has no AI drama program, but micro-dramas passed 6.5 billion views on it in the first half of 2026, and its Shorts series feature groups episodes into seasons. Many AI drama creators post there, and searching "AI short drama" finds them. TikTok launched a separate micro-drama app, PineDrama, in January 2026 in the US and Brazil; TechCrunch's report doesn't mention AI. Character.AI launched c.ai Series in July 2026: animated series written by people with an AI pipeline making the pictures and sound, where the first eight episodes are free.
