Surah Al Baqarah|Beautiful Quran Recitation|
Translation (Saheeh International): “Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?” --- Explanation: In this verse, Allah addresses the Children of Israel (Bani Israel) — especially their scholars and teachers — warning them against hypocrisy. “Do you order people to righteousness…” — They used to preach goodness, justice, and obedience to Allah. “…and forget yourselves…” — Yet they didn’t follow what they taught. Their actions contradicted their words. “…while you recite the Scripture?” — They had clear knowledge from their holy book, yet still ignored its guidance. “Will you not reason?” — Allah calls them — and all believers — to think deeply and act with sincerity and consistency. --- Lesson: This verse reminds us that: 1. Preaching without practice is hypocrisy. 2. Knowledge must reflect in our actions. 3. True wisdom is living by what we teach others.
