📖 Surah Al-Baqarah (2:42) > وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ “And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].” 🕊 Explanation: This verse is addressed mainly to the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), but its message applies to everyone. Allah warns them not to confuse truth with falsehood — meaning, don’t twist or change the truth of Allah’s message to fit your desires or mislead people. “Conceal the truth” refers to hiding the signs and prophecies in their scriptures that mentioned the coming of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In today’s context, it teaches Muslims to be honest in matters of religion, to speak the truth clearly, and not to distort or hide knowledge for personal gain. --- 📖 Surah Al-Baqarah (2:43) > وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ “And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].” 🕊 Explanation: Here, Allah commands the believers — and the People of the Book — to: 1. Establish Salah (prayer) — to maintain a strong connection with Allah through worship and obedience. 2. Give Zakah (charity) — to purify wealth and help those in need. 3. Bow with those who bow — meaning, join the community of true believers in humble worship, rather than remaining divided. This verse emphasizes prayer, charity, and unity in worship — the core acts that build faith, discipline, and brotherhood among Muslims. --- 🌿 Summary of Both Verses (42–43): Don’t mix truth and lies — be sincere in your faith and words.
